When B-Live asked Van She to put together any cover for them, who'd have thought they'd have manufactured their own synthpop version of Blue Oyster Cult's (Don't Fear) The Reaper? The Australians manage to pull it off without a hitch. The B-Live Bacardi definitely didn't cloud their judgement, with neon synth lines and handclaps Van She have put out their first proper release since June's V remixed - and it's an excellent one at that. Formed in 2005, Sydney's greatest 80s synthpop revivalists have been fairly quiet recently since their debut full-length V made my best of 2008 list, and other than a whole bunch of tech remixes, there's nothing from their end.

Van She cover (and outdo) Blue Oyster Cult
