Devonté Hynes has been a busy musician in the past couple of years, and if you think he's been tucked away in his bedroom since 2008's Falling Off Lavender Bridge, you'd be very wrong. He's moved to New York to record his 2nd album Life Is Sweet, Nice To Meet You with Animal Collective's producer, (out on Domino Records last week), as well as making and touring his funk/soul side project Blood Orange. He's also featured on Basement Jaxx's My Turn and had throat surgery. To top it all off, from what i've heard so far, the new album is sounding like everything it promised to be - a funky mix of 70s surf, soul, and the British acoustic pop of Lavender Bridge.
