The Hold Steady's sixth album is on the cards for early May, and is showing no signs of living up to Craig Finn's early estimates that it would be 'less anthemic' than the last. In fact, judging by the two latest leaks 'Hurricane J' and 'Rock Problems' the loss of keyboardist Franz Nicolay in January doesn't appear to have affected them in the slightest. With every essence of Stay Positive's fullness and poetic splendour, the band are showing no signs of furthering the ageing perspective the last album exhibited so heavily. "I don't want you to settle, I want you to grow" ringing through the youthful chorus of new album leak Hurricane J. Pick up the new tracks below - the new album drops May 4, 2010 via Vagrant.
